I always feel bad when I complain about rainy days in California. I know we need the rain, and I also know that the weather here is milder than most places on earth.⠀ ⠀ Still, I inevitably feel quiet, then slow, then melancholy after many days of rain. Today, the storm clouds cleared and the sky opened clear and cold into cerulean blue. ⠀ ⠀ And I feel: ridiculously intoxicated.⠀ ⠀ Anyone else out there have a hard time in winter? ⠀ Anyone else feeling drunk on spring? ⠀ ⠀ If so, tell me. (Life is better when we don't drink alone :)⠀ ⠀
Thank you again @martha_weddings, for featuring this work of art as the opener in your gallery of wedding centerpieces to steal for the Thanksgiving table. If there was any way I could even remotely replicate this beauty, I so would. It's the creation of @studiomondine's Amanda and Ivanka, whose artistry fills me up so deeply. You might notice that a large number of the photographs on this feed are of flowers - they are one of my favorite parts of weddings. I love how great floral design weaves together nature, art, beauty and love. This photograph is from Katie and Ben's @calistogaranch wedding, beautifully orchestrated by @rydersloanevents. The beauty of these florals was a perfect match for the wedding itself, which was sweet, free, and wild.
