Wild and Woodsy Mendocino Wedding

Emma and Pete’s magical Mendocino wedding took place on a family property where Emma had spent a large part of her childhood and was dear to her heart.

Designer/florist Meredith Law of M. Designs chose a redwood grove on the property that made a natural cathedral, and brought in curtains to have enough juxtaposition to show off nature’s beauty. Flowers and botanicals were all sourced as close to the property as possible, including from three local organic farms.

In collaboration with Emma’s mother, also an artist, Meredith made signs that adorned the property and guided guests through to the ceremony site and unexpected Victorian-style lounges in the woods.

The color scheme was designed to match the look and feel of the Mendocino Coast, with brass and glass to match the flatwqare and midcentury shapes. Also around the property were fairy lights in bell jars, a lounge with a loom that invited guest participation, and a life-sized copy of the watercolor wedding invitation.
